Abstract

In this work, a prototype of intelligent parking for bicycles using IoT is presented. A load sensor is placed on each parking space to report its availability to an Arduino board. The board is responsible for basic sensing operations and transmits occupancy information to a web server using LoRA technology. A server hosts the database that registers the users and the information on the occupation of the parking spaces. Through a Web page, it is possible to visualize the occupation of the spaces, and it also allows to reserve drawers during a window of time. These operations allow the parking lot user to make trips knowing the availability of spaces and even make a reservation, reducing travel time.
