Abstract

Paper presents the analysis of distance measurements from an unknown magnetic dipole. Simulations of axial magnetic field distribution were performed in open-source software Elmer FEM based on finite element method. The results analysis was performed in Matlab, and possibility of distance determination is presented. Moreover, validation of the results on the laboratory test stand was performed.
