Abstract

Knowledge bases have been built to support three environment and landscape planning processes to assess and decide where and how to: locate environmental systems (waste disposal and processing, water supply and processing) in areas included within the EU's Objective 2 programmes for the Liguria Region;design strategies, zoning and rules for the plan of the Cinque Terre National Park, which prioritise high value landscape preservation; andestablish a new layout for strategic railway and motorway infrastructures for the metropolitan area of Genoa, tackling the question of compatibility with the affected areas
