Abstract

Since the beginning of the century there is research showing the late institutionalization of Communication for Development and Social Change (CDCS) in Spain. This article discusses the bibliometric study of the field, analyzing the top ten magazines of Communication (2000-2012) coincided with the institutionalization of the field in Spain. The research questions are: What impact has the CDCS? Is there a correlation between the rise of the field and the number of items? What magazines and authors have published? The results points to a marginal presence in the studied period, and a relative increase, coinciding with the institutionalization of the field in Spain.
