Abstract

Most agree that DEA is a strong method for evaluating people-governed, mostly services industries. Perhaps the most useful DEA studies include specific branch management issues where senior management believes that one or more problems exist, but they cannot measure or even identify the problem or its source. The following cases show some of these targeted problems, how they were considered, what was found, and solutions and recommendations to address these issues.
