Abstract

This volume was inspired by a Penrose conference on 'Blueschists and related eclogites' held in 1983, and is a collection of 28 papers on that theme submitted for a deadline a year later. After three introductory papers on high-P phase equilibria, the bulk of the volume contains regional contributions arranged geographically: 10 papers from S to N through the W North American Cordillera, 8 from N to S through Europe, 6 from W to E through Asia and 1 from New Caledonia. (Abstracts of each paper are included in appropriate sections of this issue of Mineralogical Abstracts).-R.A.H.
