Abstract

The evaluation of dermatologic conditions cannot always be accomplished by history and physical alone. In some instances, the use of a dermoscope can help differentiate a benign from a more suspicious lesion. Office-based biopsies can be easily learned and performed, as the physician will often need the help of a pathologist to make the diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is made, a primary care clinician can learn and perform several office-based treatments to treat the conditions.
