Abstract

The main goal of the work presented in this paper is to determine an optimal strategy for virtual characters performing judicious combinations of speech, gesture and motion in order to disambiguate references to objects in the physical environment. The work is located in the research area of mobile computing and deals with the combination of mobile and stationary devices. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
