Abstract

This paper summarizes the requirements of an HMI concept for urban areas including the vehicle components: Head-Up Display, the Instrument Cluster, and the Acceleration Force Feedback Pedal. The research addresses all qualitative and quantitative requirements of the aforementioned HMI components as well as urban areas and scenarios itself and warnings in general. The results contain almost 150 confirmed requirements by different sources and lay the foundation for future experiments in this field. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
