Abstract

This research to improve the results of learning mathematics by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, this type of research is classroom action research with a qualitative approach through the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were class II students at Kanisius Kadirojo Elementary School with a total of 19 students consisting of 12 boys and 7 girls. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. This research was designed with two cycles where each cycle consisted of two meetings. Based on the results of the research conducted, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is proven to improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of students who passed in the first cycle of 42.1% and in cycle 2 of 89.5% or 17 students experienced an increase in learning outcomes from the total number of students in class II, namely 19 students. The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is able to increase students' understanding of the material for standard units of time measurement. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kualitataif melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi.. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas II SD Kanisius Kadirojo dengan jumlah siswa 19 anak yang terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 7 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Penelitaian ini didesain dengan dua siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian yang dilakukan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan prosentase siswa yang tuntas pada siklus pertama 42,1 % dan pada siklus 2 sebanyak 89,5% yaitu 17 siswa mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar dari total jumlah siswa di kelas II yaitu 19 siswa. Penerapan model pembelajaran PBL ini mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi satuan baku ukuran waktu.
