Abstract

We propose a simple and convenient method for measuring the wavelength dependency of the delay time of the response of a photomultiplier tube (PMT) by using a normal time-correlated single-photon-counting (TCSPC) instrument for use in a precise deconvolution procedure. In order to derive the delay time, we employed an algorithm that was used in a modified Gerchberg- Papoulis' band-extrapolation algorithm that we had already reported. Fundamental simulation results and basic experimental results are shown.
