Abstract

(from the chapter) over a number of years, my colleagues and I have conducted a series of experiments that focused on this important question: under what conditions are people with conflicting interests able to work out an agreement (i.e., a system of justice defining what each shall give and receive in the transaction between them) that is stable and mutually satisfying / in these experiments we have used several different research formats, among them, the Prisoners Dilemma (PD), Acme-Bolt Trucking, and Behavioral Strategy games / describe the results that bear upon the preceding question (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved)
