Abstract

Many commercial kits are available for isolating DNA and RNA from various tissues. Automated nucleic acid extraction systems have also been implemented by several companies for high-throughput sample handling and quick sample preparation time. Here, we provide basic protocols for total genomic DNA, RNA, and miRNA extraction that have been used in clinical laboratories with good quality and sufficient quantity.
