Abstract

This paper deals with one of the calculating methods of the pulsation in piping system by using the digital computer. In this method, which is a variation of the transfer matrix method, the damping factor of the wave in a piping is introduced into the calculation of the pulsation; the pulsation pressure at the arbitrary point in the piping system can be obtained rather easily when the forced pulse on the volumetric velocity at the cylinder is given. This method makes the calculation possible without any special large scale analog computer, and by using only a digital computer.
