Abstract

This paper presents a modern method for optimizing the selection of a machining process for hot-box core, for maximizing its performance and minimizing its cost. The work strategy involves setting the functions of the “product” in this case a machining process, applying the value analysis method in order to obtain an optimal machining process, to optimize the product's value / cost ratio. For the automation of calculations, the author has developed a computer programs that perform all calculations and draw all the necessary diagrams for Value Analysis iterations.
