Abstract

The subfamily Scaptocorinae (Hemiptera, Cydnidae) is revised for the Neotropical Region. All known species, with the exception of Scaptocoris grossa Froeschner, have been studied. A new genus, Atarsocoris, is proposed for Scaptocoris giselleae Carvalho; Atarsocoris macroptera, Scaptocoris buckupi and S. carvalhoi are described as new species. A key to genera of Scaptocorinae, as well as keys to the species of Scaptocoris and Atarsocoris, are presented.
