Abstract

Larvicidal principles obtained from the methanol extract of Kaempferiae Rhizoma (rhizomes of Kaempferia galanga) were identified as ethyl cinnamate, ethyl p-methoxycinnamate, and p-methoxycinnamic acid. Cinnamic acid and some of its derivatives showed larvicidal activity. © 1988, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
