Abstract

Photodynamic therapy with ALA or MAL is an excellent treatment for multiple actinic keratoses. Large field photodynamic therapy can eradicate multiple actinic keratoses with a shorter downtime than 5-fluorouracil or imiquimod. Multiple large field photodynamic therapy sessions can delay the appearance of actinic keratosis.
