Abstract

By remembering the political violence in the Chilean transition, gendered subjects emerge, which are placed in a position of subordination in relation to the heteropatriarchal cul-ture. These stories are constructed from the margins of official memory; forming a melting pot of dissident memories. Results are presented about an investigation that deals with the construction of activist memory, analyzing the different gendered positions of the sub-ject. Memories, constructed in the context of the current debates on feminism, problema-tize the gender relations in the armed militancy of the time. They point out the exclusion of aspects related to the genderization of political life within these militancies: the brands of women activists in relation to dominant gender mandates (activism-reproduction), the gendered subordinations in the practices within the activist collectivities, and the relega-tion to a secondary space of the gender dimensions in relation to the struggle principle of that transitional moment.
