Abstract

The work satisfaction among nurses is essential in a healthcare system. Nurse satisfaction may refer to the motivation to stay in the nursing profession and the organization in which they are satisfied with. The study aims to determine the level of work satisfaction among Intensive Care nurses and examined the relationship between Herzberg’s motivation and hygiene factors. The study used a quantitative design with a theoretical framework based on Herzberg’s theory.  A total of 218 nurses from the Intensive Care Unit were selected.  The results showed that overall, of the nurses had a moderate level of work satisfaction.  Keywords: Work satisfaction, motivation, hygiene, nurses eISSN: 2398-4287© 2021.
