Abstract

Dysphagia is a common symptom which is commonly defined as difficulty with swallowing. Various diseases and situations may cause dysphagia and the management and treatment depends on the etiology. It is crucial to perform a detailed evaluation for patients with dysphagia, and extra caution should be paid especially in pregnant patients. This chapter evaluates approach to a pregnant patient with dysphagia and some commonly seen diseases which may cause dysphagia.
