Abstract

In vitro amplification of genomic DNA is essential in molecular genetic testing. In the following chapter, we will discuss the concepts underlying targeted PCR amplification and related methods, provide an example of a clinical test for Huntington disease that utilizes targeted PCR, and briefly introduce whole-genome amplification.
