Abstract

The elevator safety management can be a matter of life safety, however, traditional researchworks focus on the single factor of equipment without integrating essential factors together. Based on the coordination theory, a classified and graded safety management method for elevator users is proposed by combing both probabilities and consequences of accidents. Synchronously, the evaluation indexes are defined. Accident probability emphasizes the comprehensive effect of four aspects, including management, environment, equipment and staff system, combined with the assessment of accident consequence, which makes the elevator risk evaluation more systematic and scientific. The safety evaluation index system is beneficial for elevator users to remove potential safety hazards and save resources of special equipment survey. Its validity and efficiency are proved by case study.
