Abstract

2′4′-Dihidroxy-5′-(1‴-dimethylallyl)- 6-prenylpinocembrin was obtained from roots of Dalea elegans. Antimicrobial assays have been proved its antibacterial activity against oxacillin-sensitive and resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and antifungal activity against Candida albicans, some strains of Candida glabrata, Candida krusei, Cryptococcus neoformans and a strain of Trychophyton mentagrophytes, which were clinically isolated multiresistant strains.
