Abstract

The paper presents a view on assessing the dependability of Web sites, abstracting from the technology used in their implementations. It discusses what is dependability in connection to this systems category, what types of faults need to be considered, what are the consequences of error occurrence. It proposes some dependability measures to be used to assess Web sites and discusses the pitfalls connected with their interpretation. It also discusses the different approaches to determining these measures.
