Abstract

A parametric study of energy costs, which is based on the present state of energy technologies, favors electric power transmission even in the age of hydrogen economy. Present inefficiencies in hydrogen production and in the conversion of hydrogen energy into electricity must be overcome, and the coordination between electric power transmission and hydrogen transmission must be made before the establishment of hydrogen economy.
