Abstract

Describes 1) experimental approaches to the measurement of mineral nutrition, looking at nutrient availability, nutrient sources, uniformity of nutrient supply, effects of nutrients upon plant processes, effects of environmental factors upon plants in relation to their nutrition, and community nutrient relationships; and 2) experimental methods (root growth media, controlled environments, experimental materials, chemical analysis, isotope labelling, bioassays, screening programmes, and mathematical models).-P.J.Jarvis
