Abstract

The paper presents four teaching-learning sequences which should help students to better understand few basic concepts of electrostatics and (partly) overcome their misconceptions. The teaching-learning sequences are concerned with four topics: Distribution of charge on conductors and insulators, Coulomb’s law, Electric field and electric potential, Capacity and capacitors. Our experience with using these sequences with high school students is included in the paper too.
