The importance of 21st century skills that must be possessed by students include Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), various efforts have been made so that Indonesia is no longer ranked at the bottom when taking the Program test.Internationale for Student Assessment (PISA) includes the 2013 curriculum. In the 2013 curriculum, students are invited to be more active, able to think critically, be able to solve problems well and explore HOTS abilities. The ability to analyze, create and create is a component of HOTS. In learning activities, one of the media that can make students active and support students' HOTS skills is to use worksheets. The objectives of this research are as follows; 1) Knowing the analysis of students' HOTS descriptions before and after learning using problem solving-based chemistry worksheets, 2) Finding the effect of using problem solving-based chemistry worksheets on students' HOTS. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The location of the research was in SMA Negeri 3 with 2 MIPA class XII research subjects (classes) each as control and experimental classes. The collection technique includes documentation method and HOTS test. The data analysis technique uses validity, reliability, level of difficulty and discrimination against HOTS questions and hypothesis testing after testing the prerequisites. Hypothesis testing using a parametric statistical test, namely the Independent Sampel t-test. The results of the analysis of the hypothesis test show the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.047, meaning that the value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.047 < 0.05 can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect in the application of problem solving worksheets to HOTS in SMA Negeri 3 Cirebon students.
