Abstract

The article presents a study which discusses use of rice bran extract (RBE) as supplement for mescenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in serum-free culture. Topics discussed include use of MSCs in treating cardiac disease, cultivation of MSCs obtained from bone marrow of Wistar rats, viable cell number measured by the trypan blue dyeing assay on a hemocytometer, and the result which reveals osteogenisis with RBE not due to population of the cells.
