Abstract

Microgrids are essential as these allow the local integration of generation units based on renewable sources, storage systems and users of electrical energy. However, for a proper operation, microgrid control is a fundamental aspect, which is why this paper proposes, in a didactic way, a simple implementation strategy for those cases where the mathematical description or model of the system is not available. The paper's contribution consists of the proposal of a detailed strategy for the design of the hierarchical control for voltage source converters based on fuzzy mathematics, which considers the microgrid operation as islanded or connected to the main network. The proposed implementation and the analysis of the obtained results show that the proposed hierarchical control strategy has satisfactory performance. Furthermore, this design structure is scalable, robust, applicable in linear or nonlinear systems, and rapidly implementable in physical systems.
