Abstract

This article introduces the one of three international common ECG databases - MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database. Secondly, we introduce the platform of this system - android. Android is a complete operating environment based upon the Linux V2.6 kernel. It includes the operating system, user interface and applications. The main deployment target is smart phones. Finally, the application can read the data file which is collected from portable ECG device and display the ECG waveform on cellphone. Patients do not need to spend too much time to go to the hospital. We use these recordings of the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database to test and debug this application. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
