Abstract

In this paper we investigate what is needed to make user interfacebuilders incrementally refinable. The need for dedicated userinterface builders is motivated by drawing a parallel with programminglanguage design and object-oriented application frameworks. We showthat reflection techniques borrowed from the programming languagecommunity can be successfully applied to make user interface buildersincrementally refinable.
