Abstract

First record of Tachydromia calcarata (Strobl) (Diptera: Hybotidae) from the British Isles, and outside the Continental Alpine region, is reported here. Both sexes are redescribed, female for the first time, and the species re-classified within the predominantly mountain T. interrupta group (formerly assigned as a member of the T. connexa group). © Entomologica Fennica.
