Abstract

Learning media is one of the factors that determine the success of the learning process. An interesting media will make students more motivated to learn mathematics, so that student learning outcomes can be improved. This study aims to develop manipulative media on trigonometry material in the Vocational High School so that it can help and facilitate mathematics teachers in explaining one of the concepts of trigonometry material. This type of research is development research, using the Borg and Gall model. The procedure in this study consisted of analyzing the product developed, developing the initial product, and testing the product. The results showed that the manipulative media developed obtained a validity score of 3.2 and included in the valid category. Then the practicality test on students scored 3.5 and included practical categories to use. So, it is recommended for teachers to use the media developed so that motivation and student learning outcomes increase.
