A great deal of the Anglo-Saxon academic literature focus on the fact that girls and boys live differently interactions with their teachers : boys generally benefit from more numerous interactions, more information and criticisms. This study replicates the previous studies on a corpus of 17 PE lessons concerning various physical activities in a French educational context. Six men and five women were videotape with 185 girls and 195 boys. Differences determined according to the sex of the pupils are smaller than those expected. Boys participate in interactions more often only if the disciplinary incidents they create are taken into account. Boys and girls are not different on the nature of the feed-back they receive from the teacher. These results are discussed according to the used statistical tests, the modalities of codification of interactions, the physical activities support of the lessons. © De Boeck Université.
