Abstract

With the rapid development of economy in China, more and more environment pressures are given to the power plants. Some pressures come from Particle Emission Control Regulations enacted by nation newly, which is the strictest regulation on part icle concentration emitted of coal-fired power plants; some pressures are the inferior coals with high ash, which can bring too much fly ash. Based on the characteristic of coal and fly ash, the state of particulate control technology in China, and the restricted natur e resource of water and ash storage field, a planning about controlling particle has been put forward. As follows, the situation that t he electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is the mainly collection mode would be changed, and the fabric filter will have the same status as ESP in future. How to make the reasonable choice between ESP and the fabric filter based on different coal and fly ash has been d iscussed. Synchronously, the potential that ESP collects PM2.5 and the mainly problem about generalizing the fabric filter have als o been analyzed.
