'Broken Strings' tells the story of Amra's family during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, commonly known as the Bosnian War, an international armed conflict that took place between March 1992 and November 1995. This war had several sides, but Muslims were targeted and suffered greatly. This narrative highlights the health problems induced by war in addition to showing the ways in which mental health is affected by conflict.
