Currently, the greenhouse production model is focused on the needs of plants at each moment using different independent systems (climate, irrigation, supply of fertilizers, control of pests, diseases, etc.) based mainly on technicians’ and producers’ experience. This book addresses different technologies aimed at changing such model, so that an integrated system is considered in which the exchange of information between all constitutive subsystems is required, as well as an industrial and business view where economic issues as the sale price and production costs are included. In this chapter, several advice, tips, and suggestions for greenhouse crop technicians and producers are included, based on the experience gained by the authors of this book during 20 years of research and industrial practice in this field in collaboration with different research groups, institutions, and producers.
