Abstract

The use of topographic landmarks and other anatomic considerations have been shown to reduce the incidenceofcomplications, aswellasthelearningcurve, associated with endoscopic carpal tunnel release [1]. This technique was based on findings of several anatomic studies [2-6].The purpose of this chapter is to outline the anatomic approach to endoscopic carpal tunnel release and discuss the pertinent anatomy. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
