This chapter aims to present selected small hydropower plants realized in the Czech Republic for about 16 years, which are interesting both from a technical point of view and from the point of view of the architectural design. To improve the economic efficiency of the investment, most of the newly built hydroelectric power plants were implemented using existing weirs or dams. Besides the new buildings, a number of general reconstructions of the technological and construction part of the small hydropower plants were also carried out, aiming to increase the efficiency of these sources. In the end, the foreseen future development in the field of power plants in the Czech Republic is indicated.
