Abstract

We describe the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter instrument on NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission, scheduled to launch in October 2008, which will provide a precise lunar high-resolution global topographic map using laser altimetry. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
