Abstract

Kata kunci : Pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi, Tenaga kesehatan, COVID-19 There have been numerous reports of infections in health workers after the discovery of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in December 2019. Infection transmission, which is common in the health-care setting, is extremely dangerous for health-care workers. As a result, it is vital to take efforts to prevent and control COVID-19 infection in health services so that health workers may continue to deliver health services while being safe. The goal of this paper is to examine the literature on infection prevention and control (PPI) for health care workers in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. Scientific literature and library studies are used to acquire data for this investigation. Themes from the literature study subject on data analysis methods. The findings of this literacy research revealed five significant themes. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the results demonstrated that personal protective equipment, hand hygiene, knowledge, workload, and the structure of the Infection Prevention and Control Committee could be used to prevent and control infection in health workers. The importance of Infection Prevention and Control during the COVID-19 pandemic provides a real opportunity for health workers to minimize exposure to the COVID-19 virus and PPI management support helps strengthen infection prevention activities by designing control mechanisms and taking corrective actions regarding non-compliant health workers. Keywords: Infection prevention and control, Health workers, COVID-19
