Abstract

At a recent (October '98) trade fair in Germany, new developments in testing technology were exhibited by 21 companies. Zuvick showed a curved sample holder for the testing of samples sensitive to clamping. Courtaulds Jersey Leisurewear have installed a Shelton Verifab testing machine for tubular fabrics, largely to improve staff working conditions. Zweigle's F460 adhesive gliding testing system is designed for ribbons and roving. Schmidt control instruments offer a wide range of testing units, with several specifically for circular knitting.
