Abstract

In this work, low-noise amplifier is designed for IEEE 802.11p WAVE application considering 5.85–5.925 GHz frequency band with a center frequency of 5.9 GHz. The amplifier is designed using GaAs FET ATF-36077 with feedback stabilization technique using different components to improve the stability of the potentially unstable device. It is observed that the power gain is more in feedback network with series resistance and inductance than in other techniques which are obtained as 16.917 dB. The noise figure obtained in the R–L series feedback technique is 1.702 dB. The comparative analysis of these designs is discussed in this paper.
