Abstract

In this paper, the authors evaluate and compare two different paradigms of natural interaction, one metaphorical and one natural, in order to control the movement of the user inside a virtual model of an archaeological reconstruction. This work measures the two paradigm’s usability in order to use this installation in a museum environment. The system was implemented on a game engine enabling the use of a Kinect 2 depth camera to obtain user input by means of body gesture analysis.
