Abstract

Routing protocols in wireless sensor networks (WSN) have been substantially investigated by researches. Most survey subject have focused on reviewing the different routing schemes that have been proposed for WSN and classifying them based on the network's type and protocol's operation also a fundamental issue in the design of Wireless Sensor Networks is to maximize their lifetimes particularly when they have a limited and non- substitute energy supply .To improve the network lifetime, controlling of power management and energy-efficient communication techniques at all sensors are necessary. In this paper, we propose a new method for the routing issue by using genetic algorithm for WSNs. Our purpose is to maximize the network lifetime by improving efficient routing techniques. Simulation results show that when we use good coefficient of our parameters, the life time of wireless sensor network is increased. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
