Abstract
Gestational diabetes in 2011. The Francophone Diabetes Society and the French National Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians recently published recommendations on screening methods and the diagnostic criteria for gestational diabetes. Recent data from literature confirm the benefit of the intensive treatment of gestational diabetes. Continuing studies on a therapeutic level in areas such as diet, physical exercise and the possibility of other alternative therapies are necessary to optimise this treatment.
