Abstract

The paper develops a fault location scheme for Smart Grid based on wireless sensor networks. Some fault location and detection principles are illustrated based on wireless sensor networks. The scheme is designed according to the requirements of end - to - end delay, reliability, and synchronization in power distribution system and simulation results indicate that it is feasible to implement the Smart Grid fault location based on wireless sensor networks. © 2012 ICST Institute for Computer Science, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.
