Abstract

Ultrasound characteristics of intrinsic thyroid disease aid in the accurate diagnosis of the disease process. This section shows examples of ultrasonographic features associated with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Graves’ disease, subacute thyroiditis, and toxic multinodular goiter.
